Broken Shackle Ranch, Inc.
is a Christian-based residential school for abandoned, abused,
and underprivileged
young men ages 16 to 19 years old. BSR takes referrals
from the Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) and the
Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). We are located in
central Georgia and have been serving youth since 1984,
offering:
 Academic education
through small on-campus GED classes tailored to each
student's individual needs
Vocational training
in five trades, three of which are NCCER certified
Mental health and
behavioral services such as on-campus individual
counseling, off-campus counseling, and group sessions
Recreational
activities that let BOYS BE BOYS- weekly softball games
involving staff and students, various leisure sports
such as basketball, fishing, weight lifting, and ping-pong, quarterly camping trips
at Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville, Georgia, etc.
Spiritual guidance
through voluntary groups, Bible studies, church
services, and camping trips, all of which are founded on
the Gospel of Jesus Christ
